Back in 1973, Richard Peck, a well-traveled dog lover grew alarmed at the number of dogs he saw roaming the streets or injured by cars. He worked with the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and Battelle Laboratories. His patented invention became the first-ever electronic pet containment system.
